Beverly Bakalyar
Beverly began her career in Decorative Finishing as a self-taught artist. She wanted her home to look like the beautiful photos she saw in magazines, and she was not afraid to experiment with color and texture to achieve a desired look.
However, it wasn't long before her desire to become an even better artist took hold and in 1999 she attended Donna Mabry’s Faux Finish and Business Workshop near Atlanta Georgia.
That experience inspired her creativity and changed her life. She arrived there as a novice painter and came home a Professional Faux Finish Artist ready to take on the world.
Taking classes to learn new, exciting finishes and products is a passion of hers. Over the past several years she has traveled to California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi and Florida attending workshops and conventions whenever the time allowed.
She is an active member of IDAL, the International Decorative Artisans League, and has held several board positions, including President of our local IDAL chapter, Florida's Golden Palette.
